Ponte Vedra Beach is an unincorporated seaside community 18 miles southeast of downtown Jacksonville. In 1916 the community was a titanium and zircon mining site, earning it the nickname, “Mineral City.”  Today Ponte Vedra Beach is best known for its miles of beautiful white sand beaches and its association with golf and tennis—it is the home of the Association of Tennis Professionals and PGA Tours as well as the host city for The Players golf tournament.
